Mastopexy
The mastopexy procedure, commonly known as a breast lift, eliminates extra skin that has accumulated in and around the breasts as a result of pregnancy or weight changes. To get the desired results, this treatment may potentially be combined with breast implants.
This surgery can be carried out only on the right patient population by entering through the nipple-areola complex. This patient population is small. Usually, these surgery can be done with a scar that resembles a lollipop and wraps around the nipple or a scar that is T-shaped (placed in the breast fold). Of course, not every patient's structure will allow for each of these, therefore before the operation, Dr. Esat Olgun choose best technique can be done.
You should stop smoking two weeks before the procedure. Don't take blood thinning medication, alcohol and supplements for one week before the procedure.
The operation is performed under general anesthesia and duration of the surgery is around 2 hours. The day following the procedure, the patients are discharged.
You can take shower 3-4 days after your operation. You can return to work 7-10 days after surgery. After your operation, you will need to wear a supportive surgical bra for 6 weeks. Heavy lifting should be avoided for two months.
Every patient experiences a different outcome. Your breasts may take several months to adapt to their final shape. Sadly, the effects will not last forever. Breasts might drop over time owing to gravity. Pregnancy, aging, and weight fluctuations that may result in new sagging are additional factors that may have an impact on the outcome.
